VÉRONIQUE BERNARD – President/Executive Producer

Véronique Bernard is a senior television executive with more than 20 years’ experience in nonfiction production and a background in drama in the United Kingdom, Australia and the United States. 

She has commissioned, developed, produced and executive produced hundreds of hours of programming including factual entertainment, documentary, lifestyle, talk, reality, docu-drama, current affairs and specialist factual for companies including National Geographic Television, New York Times Television, ABC News Productions, Condé Nast Media Group, WNET, WNYC, PBS, Discovery Communications, Sundance Channel and SBS Television in Australia where she was Head of Production.

She has secured program funding from federal bodies such as the National Endowment for the Humanities, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and the Australia Council. Recent credits include the PBS/Sundance series E2: The Economies of Being Environmentally Conscious (Grantham Prize for Excellence in Environmental Journalism Award of Merit), feature documentary The Man Who Invented Himself : Duane Michals (Special Mention Prize, International Festival of Film on Art FIFA), science series Redesign My Brain (Mindful Media, Science Channel), feature documentary Enter The Faun (Sundance Documentary Film Program, PBS America Reframed), PBS series Art in the Twenty-First Century, and digital program Feeding a Hungry Planet: Agriculture, Nutrition and Sustainability (UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network.)

Bernard is an award-winning producer, a drama director, and a media educator in content development and production. An international development executive with a deep knowledge of the global broadcasting, cable and digital markets and a solid network of professional relationships in the UK, USA, Australia and her native France, she has worked with producers and production companies all over the world. She is on the board of Global Action Project, a youth media and social justice organization, and teaches in the Integrated Media Arts MFA program at Hunter College, New York.
